Some changes have been made recently to the Denver Fiction Writers website.
We are a group of fiction writers who meet weekly, face to face, to critique and discuss one another’s work. This invaluable piece in a writer’s toolbox is useful for learning how to judge your writing and that of others… expands your horizons as you read work in progress different from your own… teaches tact and accountability… motivates for good work habits… and develops that tough skin you’ll need if you’re planning to submit anything.
We share not only opinions, but friendship, with discussions of everything from life in the writing world through recent movies, current news and publication woes. If you live in the Denver area, consider joining us!
Hi everyone! I haven’t been very good about updating this site, have I? I’ve been very occupied with NaNoWriMo, and then with collapsing briefly after that, before the hurry of the holiday season. I wish everyone the very best this winter!
Storied Treasure has been a big success. The original print run is about 75% sold out, and we’ve had so many good comments about it, I can’t tell you. Thanks to everyone who bought it!
And if there’s a storyteller in your life, you already know that the gift of added repertoire is something they’d… well… treasure!
Hey there! I’ll be at the MileHiCon this October 23 through 26. I won’t have any panels, but for participants in the National Novel Writing Month, which I am ML-ing this year, I have a meet and greet at the coffee shop in the Hyatt lobby, at 1 pm on the Sunday of the convention. And I’ll be hanging around the convention generally. Hope to see you there!
The books have arrived and they look great! Go check them out on the Purchase page. The cover came out beautifully, the illustrations look nice, and all in all it’s just the way I would have hoped. It’s been so much fun to do this joint project between myself and my father, a professional storyteller. The book is designed to add stories to the repertoire of any storyteller, and also to be useful for counselors, teachers, parents and readers in general.
