The preliminary ballot has been announced.

Tattered Souls 2, the anthology from Cutting Block Press that includes my novella "Becka", will be on the final ballot for the Bram Stoker Award!

Yay! Knightwatch Press has accepted my story, 'The Adventure of the Laboratory', for its upcoming anthology, TALES FROM THE BELL CLUB. I'm excited! I'll let you know when there's a publication date.

If it's common, it's probably not sense. If it's sense, it's probably not common.

Ah, the conundrum. I was offered an editing job and the person doesn't really need one – her manuscript is already very clean and looks well written. I suspect that she doesn't need to spend more money on editing. It's a shame, though, because now I'll have to wait for it to come out to read it.

And, you know, I could use the money. Ethical editors go broke faster.

Happy New Year, everyone. Resolution? Well…

I've been having trouble finishing stories of late. I have the whole thing in my head, it seems, when I start. But then the tale gets a bad case of Threequarteritis and stalls out right about the act three turn. So in 2012 I need to finish more things.

In short, I resolve to have more resolutions!
